OpenWorld Completes Business Combination with VerifyMe, Seeks Blockchain Listing
OpenWorld, a digital assets and blockchain innovation company, has completed its business combination with VerifyMe, Inc. (NASDAQ: VRME), a provider of specialized logistics and brand protection solutions. The combined company will trade on NASDAQ under the ticker symbol 'OPNW' effective October 1, 2026. Matthew Shaw, a digital assets veteran, will lead the company as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
OpenWorld aims to tokenize real-world assets, transforming business and property income into digital investments. The company plans to pursue a dual listing on blockchain-based Figure OPEN, which it expects to have live by November 2026. Through OpenWorld Enterprise, the company combines financial structuring and blockchain infrastructure to support the development, issuance, and distribution of tokenized real-world assets for institutional investors.
According to Matthew Shaw, 'tokenizing the cash flows of some of the world's most dynamic businesses has the potential to dramatically shift how companies finance their operations and how investors access yield.' The company's leadership team includes Shaw and Group President Russ McMeekin, who bring complementary expertise in technology and blockchain.
