Optimism Token Predicted to Reach $5.20 in 2030 with Superchain Vision
The Optimism (OP) token has seen significant price drops in recent times, down about 82% from its yearly high. The live price of OP is currently trading near $0.32.
However, analysts believe that if the Superchain vision becomes a core part of Ethereum's scaling narrative, OP could see significant growth by 2030. According to the predictions, by 2026, OP could attempt a recovery toward $0.326, and by 2030, it could target the $5.20 level.
The Superchain is a broader vision called the Superchain, which includes Optimism as its foundation. It's a network of interoperable rollups built using the open-source OP Stack. These networks share infrastructure, security assumptions, and upgrade paths while remaining independent.
OP's value depends on developer use and decision-making power, not just for paying fees. The token is mainly used for governance, helping decide upgrades, funding, and long-term plans. The Superchain revenue buyback program, which uses 50% of sequencer revenue generated by the Superchain ecosystem to buy OP tokens from the open market, could be a significant catalyst.
