Oracle Bridges Banking and Blockchain with Swift Integration
Oracle has integrated its banking and blockchain infrastructure with Swift's shared ledger for tokenized deposits. This move allows banks to connect their own tokenized-deposit systems to cross-bank payment flows while retaining control of the underlying assets.
According to Oracle, this integration will link digital-asset flows with existing ISO 20022 processing. The company is building a bridge between the systems banks already use to move money and Swift's emerging blockchain ledger.
Banks keep their own deposits in this system, with individual institutions maintaining their own tokenized-deposit infrastructure. The shared ledger coordinates payment commitments between those institutions, enabling digital representations of commercial bank money to work across bank boundaries.
Oracle's integration is designed to connect the two sides, allowing a bank to handle ordinary payments and tokenized-deposit payments through the same operating model.
