Oracle Links Swift's Blockchain Ledger to Bank Payment Systems
Oracle has announced an integration of its banking and blockchain infrastructure with Swift's shared ledger for tokenized deposits. This move enables banks to connect their own tokenized-deposit systems to cross-bank payment flows while retaining control over the underlying assets.
The integration is designed to bridge the gap between existing ISO 20022 processing and Swift's emerging blockchain ledger. Oracle Banking Payments will link digital-asset flows with conventional payment processing, allowing banks to handle ordinary payments and tokenized-deposit payments through the same operating model.
Swift's shared ledger coordinates payment commitments between institutions, maintaining individual banks' own tokenized-deposit infrastructure. Oracle's integration connects the two systems, enabling interoperability for bank-issued digital money.
