Peter Brandt Ranks Monero and Solana Above XRP in Technical Analysis
Veteran trader Peter Brandt recently shared a technical analysis comparing the weekly charts of XRP, Monero (XMR), and Solana (SOL). His assessment focused solely on classical price patterns and measured moves, setting aside any fundamental factors.
Brandt identified a cup-and-handle formation in XRP’s chart, which typically signals a continuation pattern. However, he noted that the pattern’s right shoulder appeared poorly formed, making the upside objective of $2.16 conditional rather than certain. He also highlighted heavy overhead supply as a significant technical hurdle for XRP.
Monero stood out as Brandt’s favorite among the three assets. Its chart showed a cleaner structure with progressively higher highs and less congestion, suggesting a smoother path forward. Similarly, Solana displayed a larger and more well-defined cup-and-handle pattern, with Brandt emphasizing its stronger chart structure compared to XRP.
Throughout his analysis, Brandt stressed that charts evolve and measured moves can fail. He advised traders to focus on price action rather than narratives, encouraging a purely technical approach to trading.
