Phantom Expands Multichain Support with BNB Chain Integration
Phantom, a self-custody wallet that started with a focus on the Solana ecosystem, has expanded its multichain support by adding BNB Chain. According to Phantom's documentation, users can now hold, send, receive, buy, and swap tokens on BNB Chain, which uses BNB to pay transaction fees.
The addition of BNB Chain to Phantom's supported networks gives users access to BNB Chain assets without requiring a separate wallet application. This integration places BNB Chain alongside other ecosystems supported by Phantom, including Ethereum, Bitcoin, Base, Polygon, Arc, HyperEVM, and Robinhood Chain.
Phantom's expansion beyond Solana has been ongoing, and the wallet has ended support for Sui, a network it previously supported. The addition of BNB Chain is seen as a step towards reaching Western audiences, which BNB Chain has a significant presence in, particularly in Eastern markets.
