Pochettino Names Young Roster for USMNT Friendlies

USMNT manager Mauricio Pochettino has named a 28-player roster for a series of fall friendlies, including a key call-up for young goalkeeper Diego Kochen.

Kochen, 20, was born in Miami to a Peruvian mother and Venezuelan father. He currently plays on loan from Barcelona Atlètic to Lyngby Boldklub in Denmark's Superliga.

The four-match schedule runs through late September and early October, with matches against Peru, Chile, Mexico, and Canada. The average age of the roster is just 22 years and nine months, with 13 players making their senior debut.

Kochen has been a fixture in goal for Lyngby Boldklub, starting every match at the beginning of the season. He holds eligibility for four different national teams: the US, Peru, Venezuela, and Spain.
