Polish Olympic Chief Arrested Over Alleged Zondacrypto Bribes
Polish authorities arrested Radosław Piesiewicz, President of the Polish Olympic Committee, over alleged bribes tied to Zondacrypto sponsorship deals.
The investigation began in April as concerns grew over Zondacrypto's business activities and political connections. Prosecutors suspect Piesiewicz accepted improper benefits from the crypto platform in exchange for Olympic partnership arrangements.
As part of the deal, Zondacrypto promised cryptocurrency rewards to Polish medalists at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milano-Cortina, but reports indicate that athletes did not receive the promised bonuses consistently.
The investigation also examines possible connections between Zondacrypto, nationalist political circles, and Russian intelligence. The case has grown to include charges of bribery, broader political corruption, and financial control.
