Polkadot Surges on Network Activity and Capital Inflows
Polkadot's price surged over 13% in the past 24 hours, but its growth is not solely dependent on the broader crypto market. The altcoin's network activity has increased significantly, with Monthly Active Addresses more than doubling to 80.3K in September, according to Token Terminal.
Token trading volume also saw a substantial increase of 116% to $4.70 billion, and daily transactions averaged 238K over the past 30 days, with a total of 7.20 million transactions. These metrics indicate that Polkadot's ecosystem is growing rapidly.
Capital inflows are another crucial factor driving DOT's price up. The 21Shares Polkadot ETF (TDOT) saw net inflows of $663K after two months of dormancy, indicating institutions' return to buying TDOT could be accelerated by the SEC's regulatory clarity on tokenization.
The treasury net flows also turned positive, surpassing $2.04 million in the past 24 hours, which is 10 times bigger than the other positive day of the week. However, the weekly treasury net flows remain negative at around $1.59 million.
