Quant Price Jumps on Banking Sector Adoption
Quant's price has surged to $287, a gain of almost 264 percent over the past month. The token closed at $65.70 on September 19 and hit its highest daily close on September 30. This rapid increase is attributed to the US banking sector's adoption of Quant as technology partner for a network of tokenised deposits.
The Clearing House, operator of the RTP and CHIPS payment systems, selected Quant on September 24. The seven British banks, including Barclays, HSBC, and Lloyds, reported customer payments in tokenised sterling deposits over the Quant platform two days later.
A crucial question for investors is how many QNT tokens the bank network needs to function. This uncertainty contributes to the volatility of the price.
