Re7 Capital Celebrates Five Years of DeFi Market-Neutral Success

Re7 Capital's Re7 strategy is celebrating its fifth anniversary, having won The Hedge Fund Journal's Digital Currency Award for best performance in 2025 and over two and three years ending in December 2025. Founded by Evgeny Gokhberg, who started investing in digital assets in 2016, the market-neutral strategy has achieved remarkable results despite the risks associated with DeFi.

Gokhberg's background in traditional finance and banking informs Re7's approach to risk management, which involves decomposing DeFi risk into sources of risk, yield, and profit. He views risk through a process similar to credit ratings, using a structured hierarchy of risk analysis to identify red flags early on.

The strategy has delivered double-digit yields while defaulting at a rate significantly lower than the industry average, thanks in part to Re7's proprietary risk models and ratings. These are not available to third parties but are shared with platforms and protocols to raise standards throughout the space.
