RealFi Hits 1,000 Testnet Users as AlphaPepe Targets Post-PEPE Upgrade
Cardano's RealFi project has reached an important milestone, passing 1,000 testnet users. This achievement provides early evidence that identity-based lending and financial services linked to real economic activity are of interest to users.
The 1,000 users give developers a meaningful group for testing onboarding, identity, lending, repayments, and user experience before contracts handle real capital. RealFi aims to expand beyond traditional overcollateralized DeFi by allowing borrowers to access financial products through reputation, business activity, or identity rather than depositing more crypto than they receive.
Cardano's mature Layer 1 and longer adoption timeline are contrasted with AlphaPepe, which targets the post-PEPE utility upgrade. AlphaPepe offers pre-chart products and no mature market history, but has already attracted over 10,000 holders and raised $2.18M. The project remains in Stage 19 at $0.02452, with a confirmed launch range of between $0.08 and $0.14.
AlphaPepe's four products - AlphaSwap, AlphaRouter, AlphaRank, and USDT rewards - are already live, providing several possible demand channels after launch. However, the project also carries significant risk, as it relies on users turning test products into regular activity.
