In an article published in the Daily Telegraph on Saturday, Harborne wrote that he decided to match Delo's donation due to his 'competitive spirit'. He also expressed hope that others will follow their lead and make donations to Reform UK.

Reform UK has been receiving regular donations from Harborne, with him reportedly giving around £1 million per month. The party has not disclosed how it plans to use the funds from Delo's and Harborne's donations.
