Republican Senator Calls for Investigation into Trump Jr. and Biden's Cryptocurrency Ties

US Republican Senator John Curtis has called for an investigation into Donald Trump Jr. and Hunter Biden's involvement in cryptocurrency business, alleging that they may have used their family ties to gain private economic benefits.

Curtis wrote a letter to the chairs of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Chuck Grassley and Dick Durbin, requesting that they summon both men to testify about their activities.

He pointed out that Donald Trump Jr. had received a gift from Russian billionaire Umar Kremlev at his wedding, which included promoting family-backed cryptocurrency businesses and serving as an advisor to a prediction market platform.

The companies involved are regulated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). Donald Trump claimed that his son had returned the relevant funds to Kremlev.
