Ripple Bolsters Tokenized Asset Infrastructure with Zilo and Licuido Investments
Ripple has made two strategic investments to expand its tokenized asset infrastructure on XRPLedger. The company invested in Zilo, a global transfer agency solutions provider for wealth managers, and Licuido, a UK-based tokenization solutions company regulated by the FCA.
The goal of these investments is to improve 'collateral mobility' for tokenized funds, which has become increasingly relevant as institutions seek more efficient ways to use on-chain assets within existing financial workflows.
Ripple's move comes amid rising tokenized real-world assets activity, including new XRPL-based launches approved by regulators. The company aims to bring regulated transfer agency, issuance, and collateral mobility into its infrastructure, addressing friction related to idle collateral by enabling tokenized funds to be used as collateral from the point of issuance.
