Ripple, Coincheck Team Up to Drive Asia-Pacific's Crypto Custody Momentum

Ripple and Coincheck are teaming up to bring custody and token lifecycle solutions to financial institutions in Asia-Pacific. The collaboration between Ripple and SettleMint will integrate Ripple's institutional custody infrastructure, Ripple Custody, with SettleMint's Digital Asset Lifecycle Platform (DALP). This integrated approach is designed to simplify the process of securing assets and managing their lifecycle for regulated firms.

The integration will support custody, issuance, and management of tokenized assets, providing a more streamlined experience for financial institutions. Ripple's coverage positions the combined stack as a less complex route for regulated firms that need robust custody controls while also participating in tokenized-asset issuance and administration.

Meanwhile, Coincheck Group has partnered with wallet infrastructure provider DFNS to bring institutional-grade digital asset custody and wallet technology to the market. The development is part of an effort to close the 'infrastructure gap' that has hindered regulated financial institutions from entering digital asset activities.
