Ripple Ecosystem Expands Amid Declining XRP Price
Despite a sharp decline in XRP price during Q2 2026, the Ripple (XRPL) ecosystem continued to grow across various fronts. According to Blockworks' 'State of $XRP: Q2 2026' report, stablecoin volume on the XRPL surged by nearly 200% quarter-over-quarter, reaching $825.5 million in total.
The report also highlighted a significant increase in tokenized Real-World Assets (RWAs) value, which rose by 102% to $4.46 billion during the quarter. Additionally, global XRP Exchange-Traded Product (ETP) inflows topped $253 million in Q2, up 45% from Q1.
However, despite this growth, the average transaction fee on the XRPL remained exceptionally low at $0.00024, and the network burned around 40,600 XRP in fees over the quarter. This suggests that more activity on the network does not necessarily translate to increased demand for XRP itself.
The report's findings challenge the idea that XRPL adoption automatically means more demand for XRP. While the ecosystem's growth is notable, it may take time for this growth to positively impact XRP price in the short term.
