Ripple Labs Invests $M in ZILO and Licuido for Tokenized Finance Expansion
Ripple Labs has made significant investments in ZILO and Licuido to expand tokenized finance on the XRP Ledger. This move aims to make it easier for asset managers and transfer agents to work with digital fund shares without creating additional work or risk.
ZILO's platform helps institutions issue and manage tokenized share classes, while Licuido focuses on issuing, distributing, and moving tokenized financial assets, as well as providing onchain settlement capabilities. The investment will help ZILO improve its services and allow Licuido to grow its infrastructure and expand its collateral marketplace.
The XRP Ledger has already processed over four billion transactions since 2012, supports more than seven million active wallets, and is run by 120 independent validators. The platform offers fast settlement, low fees, security, and compliance tools that suit large financial institutions.
