Ripple Shifts RLUSD Supply Across Blockchains in Synchronized Move

Ripple's RLUSD stablecoin recently underwent a significant supply shift between its native XRP Ledger and Ethereum networks. On September 6, a total of 1,363,614.85 RLUSD was burned on the XRP Ledger, effectively removing it from circulation.

Just seconds later, the same amount of RLUSD was minted on the Ethereum network. This synchronized transaction implies that Ripple rebalanced its stablecoin supply across multiple blockchains rather than creating new tokens.

The move appears to have transferred approximately $1.36 million in RLUSD liquidity from the XRP Ledger to Ethereum. According to on-chain data, the newly minted RLUSD was then transferred to an external wallet, effectively removing it from the issuer's control.

This cross-chain supply transfer highlights Ripple's efforts to manage its stablecoin presence across various networks. By rebalancing supply between blockchains, Ripple can ensure that tokens are available where liquidity needs are strongest, thereby supporting market activity and user needs.
