Ripple Unlocks 1 Billion XRP from Escrow Amid Ongoing Ecosystem Developments

Ripple has completed its monthly release of 1 billion XRP from escrow at the start of October. The total amount released is comprised of four transactions, with values ranging from $148 million to $595 million.

According to Whale Alert, the total value of the unlocked XRP is approximately $1.33 billion USD. However, not all of this amount will enter the circulating market.

Ripple often returns a significant portion of the unlocked XRP back to escrow, with around 700-800 million XRP being held in reserve each month. The remainder is used for operational purposes and ecosystem initiatives.
