Ripple's CTO Reports XRPL Hub Stability Improvement Amid Uncertainty

Ripple's CTO Emeritus David Schwartz has reported that his private XRPL hub has seen significant stability improvements over the past two weeks. The hub, which is a high-capacity relay between UNL validators, other hubs, and application servers, has regained above 500 active connections, with charts showing roughly 501 peers.

Schwartz noted that he doesn't know why this improvement occurred, but it's precisely the uncertainty surrounding the cause that makes it worth monitoring. The hub had previously seen issues in July, logging `onReadMessage: No message of desired type` errors and shedding peers, before experiencing a network-wide manifest-flood period in late August.

The stability boost coincides with the recent XRP Ledger 3.4.0 release, which included peer-protection improvements alongside new lending amendments. However, Schwartz has not confirmed whether this is the reason for the hub's improved performance.
