Ripple's Mixed Signals: Activity Spikes on XRP Ledger
XRP Ledger activity metrics reveal a complex picture, with transactions per ledger surging over 190% in recent times. However, this growth is not reflected across all areas of network activity, as total transactions, successful transactions, active accounts, and payment volume have dropped significantly.
The data shows that the increase in transactions per ledger is accompanied by a decline of 89% in payment volume. This suggests that activity on the XRP Ledger is becoming more concentrated rather than broadly growing across the network.
Despite this mixed picture, other indicators suggest strong institutional interest in XRP. Market trading volume and U.S. spot XRP ETF inflows remain robust, with ETFs attracting $110 million in a week. The XRP price has also rallied in August, indicating ongoing demand for the asset.
