Ripple's $750 million share buyback in March 2026 did not benefit holders of its XRP token, according to recent reports. The company's valuation increased by 25% to $50 billion during this time, but XRP dropped by 30-40% to $1.55.

Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse stated that he does not solely identify as an XRP supporter and would consider offering customers a stablecoin if it better served their needs.

The company has been expanding its business aggressively, spending approximately $2.45 billion on acquisitions in 2025, including Hidden Road for $1.25 billion and GTreasury for $1 billion.
