Quant Soars 75% as Bitcoin Nears $85,000
Quant (QNT) experienced a significant surge in price over the weekend, leading gains among the top 100 altcoins. The token briefly rose by 75% before retreating towards $160 after reaching above $190. This increase came after The Clearing House selected Quant for its On-Chain Money Initiative.
Bitcoin (BTC) continued to move upwards, holding above $83,000 and approaching the $85,000 mark. After a brief dip earlier in the week, BTC rebounded to around $84,000 on Saturday before moving higher. The total crypto market capitalization rose slightly to $2.910 trillion, with Bitcoin's dominance standing at 58.6%.
Other notable gains were seen in WLD, BTW, GRAM, and GRAY, while Zcash (ZEC) gained more than 8% over 24 hours and traded above $1,650. NEAR reclaimed $5 after rising 5.4%, with Solana (SOL) approaching $125 after adding 3%. Ether (ETH), BNB, and LINK also recorded modest gains, while XRP, DOGE, and TRX posted small losses.
