Ripple's XRP Attracts Whales and Institutions Amid Market Correction
Ripple's cross-border token XRP has attracted significant attention from institutional investors and whales in recent times. Despite this interest, XRP prices have slipped by 8% after a broader market correction. One of Ripple's top executives recently spoke at the MESA Forum alongside representatives from financial giants like BlackRock and HSBC.
The discussion centered around stablecoins, tokenized deposits, and other topics. The UAE has also become an attractive hub for Ripple, with the Dubai Financial Services Authority recognizing RLUSD as a crypto token in 2025. RLUSD's market capitalization has surged to $2.37 billion, making it the ninth-largest stablecoin.
Institutional investors are increasingly exposed to XRP through spot ETFs, which have seen substantial capital inflows. The past two days have been particularly beneficial for these funds, signaling a potential continuation of their streak. Whales have also accumulated over 1.54 billion XRP units in recent weeks.
