RippleX Ship Audited Batch V1.1 as XRP Ledger Nears Atomic Settlement Upgrade
The XRP Ledger is one vote away from upgrading to Batch V1.1, an audited and rebuilt amendment designed for atomic transactions. The upgrade aims to improve the usable ledger capacity for payments and tokenization projects already under contract with RippleX.
Batch V1.0 was pulled in February after a logic error was discovered that could have allowed attackers to bundle victim-account transactions without their private keys. As part of the XRP Ledger 3.3.0 upgrade, RippleX staff engineer Mayukha Vadari announced that XRPL Batch V1.1 ships in xrpld v3.3.0 and is now open for validator voting.
The rebuild includes a root-cause fix, four senior reviewers, a Sherlock attackathon, and audits from Halborn and Common Prefix. The batch still lets up to eight transactions from different accounts execute atomically in one ledger close, either the whole bundle lands or none of it does.
