Robinhood Brings Leveraged Crypto Trading to US Users with Up to 10x Leverage
Robinhood has launched leveraged crypto trading for its US users, allowing them to trade cryptocurrencies with up to 10x leverage. The feature is available on major cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum, which can be traded with a 10x leverage cap. This means that a trader can control $10,000 worth of BTC with just $1,000 in margin.
The launch also includes perpetual contracts for other popular cryptocurrencies like Solana, XRP, Dogecoin, Cardano, Chainlink, and HYPE, which come with a more conservative 3x leverage cap. Robinhood is offering a temporary trading fee of just 0.01% until the end of 2026 to attract traders.
The company's acquisition of Bitstamp in June 2025 for approximately $200 million allowed it to offer leveraged crypto products within a compliant framework. This feature was previously available internationally, and its US rollout extends that playbook to its home market.
