Robinhood Chain Never Halted on September 4th: Glass Hull Study
On September 4th, Robinhood Chain allegedly experienced an outage of about 14 minutes. However, according to findings published by Glass Hull, an independent measurement practice of Jet Fyul Dynamics LLC, the chain never actually halted.
Glass Hull built a full copy of the chain's permanent record and measured it using two independent methods. The results were then sealed and anchored in Bitcoin, allowing anyone to verify the findings.
The data shows that Robinhood Chain produced 854,255 blocks carrying 13,978,496 transactions on September 4th, never more than 2 seconds apart. This is consistent with the chain's performance since its public mainnet launch on July 1st, which has seen no downtime longer than 16 seconds.
The study also found that failed transactions still pay fees, with about 18.4% of user transactions failing from genesis to September 14th, resulting in around 1,551.08 ETH being paid in fees.
