Robinhood Chain Surges Past $1 Billion TVL with Uniswap Partnership
Robinhood Chain has rapidly gained traction since its launch on July 1, approaching $1 billion in total value locked (TVL), according to Standard Chartered analyst Geoffrey Kendrick. This represents the fastest growth rate compared to any blockchain.
The partnership with Uniswap is a key factor in Robinhood Chain's success, providing liquidity and allowing Robinhood to access existing decentralized finance infrastructure without building it from scratch. This has effectively removed a major obstacle for attracting users and assets.
Uniswap's token economics have also been impacted, with the UNI burn rate roughly doubling since the activation of the Robinhood-linked fee switch on July 27. The current annual burn volume stands at approximately $90 million (about 130 billion won), which translates to roughly 25 million UNI tokens, or more than 4% of the circulating supply, being burned each year.
Robinhood Chain's rapid growth has drawn attention from Wall Street, with Bernstein analysts recently raising their Robinhood stock price target to $160 (approximately 230,000 won) due to its potential in tokenization and prediction markets. HOOD shares have risen roughly 30% over the past six months.
