Robinhood Derivatives Contract Sets September 17 Price Target for Bitcoin
The price of Bitcoin is set to be determined by a Robinhood Derivatives contract, which will resolve on September 17, 2026 at 7pm EDT. The contract offers a range of possible outcomes for the price of BTC, with three distinct ranges: $76,300 to $76,399.9941¢, $76,400 to $76,499.9930¢, and $76,200 to $76,299.9924¢.
The contract is based on CF Benchmarks' Real Time Index (RTI), which collects 60 prices at the last minute before expiration and determines the official and final value as their average.
Participants in the contract can buy or sell contracts, with payouts usually within one hour of event resolution. However, trading prohibitions apply to certain individuals, including those employed by Source Agencies and those who hold material non-public information on the Underlying.
