Russia's Crypto Framework Fails to Spark Public Interest
Russia has legalized cryptocurrency trading under its new framework, but nearly seven in ten Russians cannot identify any personal advantage to using digital currencies. According to a recent polling data from Rambler&Co, only 6% of respondents classified themselves as knowledgeable participants with hands-on market experience.
The study found that 54% of participants possessed minimal understanding of cryptocurrency mechanics and applications, while an additional 23% attributed their confusion to inconsistent and contradictory messaging about digital currencies.
When asked about specific applications, only a small percentage mentioned international transactions (8%), portfolio diversification (6%), or commercial transfers (4%). The study encompassed over 2,000 web users across multiple properties between July 23 and July 30.
