S&P and Pantera Launch Revenue-Screened Digital Asset Index
S&P Global and Pantera Capital have launched a new digital asset index that screens for protocols with positive revenue, excluding Bitcoin and meme coins. The benchmark index, which currently comprises 18 constituents, uses onchain data to verify revenue.
The new index is designed to provide investors with a more accurate representation of the digital asset market's performance. By focusing on revenue-generating protocols, it aims to exclude speculative assets that may not have long-term viability.
S&P Global and Pantera Capital collaborated on this project, leveraging their expertise in finance and cryptocurrency to create a robust index. This move reflects growing interest in the digital asset space from traditional financial institutions.
