Samsung Electronics has announced plans to add stablecoin support to its Samsung Wallet at Galaxy Unpacked 2026, an event held on July 22. This move would enable users to transfer digital value directly from their devices and combine payments, rewards, and digital assets in one mobile app.

The company did not confirm which stablecoins will be supported or when the feature will go live, but it demonstrated a USDC interface during the event, suggesting that the dollar-backed stablecoin could be among the first to be supported. The wallet's financial features will be protected by Samsung Knox security with end-to-end encryption.

This is not Samsung's first foray into crypto; in October 2025, it expanded its partnership with Coinbase, allowing Galaxy users in the US to buy crypto directly through Samsung Wallet. This rollout initially covered more than 75 million Galaxy users.
