SAND Price Surges 62.5% as South Korean Exchanges Lift Trading Cautions
The Sandbox (SAND) token price surged 62.5% in 24 hours after three major South Korean exchanges, Upbit, Bithumb, and Coinone, lifted their trading caution designations on the token.
The labels were placed on SAND in August after an exploit of its cross-chain bridge, but the exchanges removed them on October 2, restoring deposits and withdrawals for Korean holders.
The SAND price jumped from $0.04807 to $0.08397, a 74.7% swing from its 24-hour low to high, and it sat 8.6% below that peak at the time of writing.
The token's 24-hour trading volume hit $951.51 million, about 4.1 times its market value, and open interest totaled $1.465 billion, roughly 6.4 times SAND's market value, heightening price volatility risk.
The exchanges removed the designations after The Sandbox provided explanations and public materials that resolved the concerns behind the August labels.
