Saylor Clarifies Strategy's BTC Sales Authorization

Strategy Chairman Michael Saylor addressed reports that his company had received authorization to sell up to $5 billion worth of Bitcoin. However, Saylor clarified that this was not new news but rather a rehashing of an announcement made on June 29th as part of the company's capital management framework.

The original announcement allowed for the sale of BTC, but it did not obligate the company to do so. In fact, Saylor stated that Strategy had never adopted a policy of 'never selling' its Bitcoin holdings.

Despite this clarification, some may still be concerned about the potential implications of being able to sell such a large amount of BTC. However, Saylor reassured investors that the company expects to remain a net buyer of Bitcoin in the long term.
