Saylor: Crypto Adoption Can Continue Despite CLARITY Act Setback
Michael Saylor believes that the adoption of cryptocurrencies in the United States can continue to advance despite the recent setback of the CLARITY Act, which failed to advance in the Senate. He points out that existing regulatory powers and growing bank services can support further growth in the digital asset market.
Saylor expects wider use of Bitcoin, stablecoins, digital credit, and other crypto products to drive further adoption. He also sees a path beyond clarity, arguing that the industry does not need to wait for new laws before putting more financial products into users' hands.
He points out that banks can expand Bitcoin custody and lending against the asset, giving Bitcoin holders more ways to use their holdings within financial services. Saylor also expects regulatory work from the SEC, CFTC, Treasury, and banking regulators to support further growth in the digital asset market.
