Saylor Sees Digital Tokens Fueling 10 Million New Companies
Michael Saylor, Executive Chairman of Strategy Inc., the Bitcoin treasury company, believes that digital tokens can help fund 10 million new companies as AI transforms how businesses are built. According to Mars Finance, he advocates for simplifying issuance rules while maintaining disclosure requirements and anti-fraud protections.
Saylor proposes that companies tailor issuance rules according to token type and establish disclosure requirements aligned with risk levels, thereby lowering legal costs while preserving ownership protections and accountability for fraud.
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has proposed an exemption framework for cryptocurrency issuances, which includes two proposals: one allows qualified issuers to raise up to $5 million over four years, and another permits up to $75 million in funding every 12 months; both remain proposals and include disclosure and anti-fraud requirements.
