Saylor Sees Major Demand for BTC as U.S. Banks Emerge as New Lending Powerhouses

Michael Saylor, CEO of MicroStrategy and prominent Bitcoin advocate, made waves at the Freedom Tech DC summit. He proposed that just a few major U.S. banks could create approximately $100B in Bitcoin-backed loans within 12 months.

This level of lending, according to Saylor, would absorb roughly 10 years' worth of newly mined BTC supply. As banks expand access to credit backed by the cryptocurrency, it's possible that additional demand could arise.

Under his scenario, this increased demand could drive Bitcoin prices up 2-3 times higher. Furthermore, it may help propel the broader digital asset industry toward a market cap of $10T.
