Saylor Slams MSCI Over Proposed Rule Excluding Bitcoin-Holding Companies

Michael Saylor has called on MSCI to drop what he considers a 'discriminatory' rule that would delete his MicroStrategy's Bitcoin strategy from its global equity indexes. The move is seen as an attempt by the index provider to exclude companies holding significant amounts of cryptocurrencies.

Saylor believes the rule unfairly targets companies that hold Bitcoin and other digital assets, giving them a disadvantage in the market.

The proposed change would affect over 1,000 companies globally, including MicroStrategy, which has invested heavily in Bitcoin as part of its treasury management strategy. Saylor claims that the exclusion will result in 'unfair' treatment for these companies and harm their ability to raise capital.
