Michael Saylor's strategy for the world's largest corporate holder of Bitcoin appears to be paying off. The firm has made another major BTC purchase, scooping up 1,665 units over the past week at an average price of $85,681.

This latest acquisition brings the company's total BTC holdings to 847,666, acquired for nearly $64 billion. With the cryptocurrency's recent price surge, this stash is now valued at over $70 billion.

Recall that Strategy took a three-week hiatus from buying Bitcoin at the end of August. However, it has now made two major purchases in consecutive weeks, with the first one announced last Monday, where it acquired 950 BTC for $75.7 million at an average price of just under $80,000 per unit.

The interesting part is that Strategy sold its Bitcoin holdings at prices well under $65,000 during the summer, while its latest acquisitions came at $80,000 or above.
