As of September 18, 2026, Michael Saylor's Strategy (MSTR.US) has seen significant growth in its Bitcoin holdings. The company disclosed that it now holds approximately 845,050 BTC, acquired at a total cost of around $64.27 billion. This puts the average cost per BTC at around $76,052.

With the current price of Bitcoin (BTC.CC) standing at $78,182, Strategy's unrealized gain comes out to around $1.80 billion. This represents a 2.8% increase over the company's cost basis.

This development is significant because it means that the current price of BTC has climbed above MSTR's overall BTC cost basis, which was around $76k. For every $1,000 rise in BTC, the book value of MSTR's BTC holdings increases by approximately $845 million.
