Scroll Sheds Public Blockchain Skin, Embraces Private AI Infrastructure
Scroll plans to transform its network from a public general-purpose blockchain into a private infrastructure for AI products. The team is developing an AI product stack, including Compass, Compass API, CENO, and USX, which will handle tasks such as protecting credentials and private compute interactions using zero-knowledge proof technology.
The SCR token will be migrated to the Ethereum network without any changes to its total supply or tokenomics. The Scroll team believes that this shift is necessary to support the development of AI products and to differentiate the project from other public general-purpose networks.
The new product stack is at different stages of development, with CENO having attracted over 30 potential customers, including 12 who are participating in a proof-of-concept test. The team plans to present a separate proposal on the network transition and issues that will require DAO approval after the details are finalized.
