SDOT Stock Jumps 56% as Debt Clearing and AI Platform Launch Boost Momentum
Sadot Group (SDOT) stock experienced a significant surge on Friday, increasing by 56.16% and reaching an intraday peak of $19.90 before retreating to end at $13.18. The rally added approximately $6.3 million to the company's market capitalization.
The company eliminated all February debentures, settling $1.08 million in obligations through equity exchanges priced at $8 per share. This move was part of a series of debt-clearing transactions that included three separate equity swap agreements, issuing a combined 134,813 shares to fully retire February debenture obligations.
The company's strategic shift toward AI-powered commodity trading advanced with the launch of its TradeOS platform in July, which executed initial commercial transactions and generated approximately $1 million in preliminary gross revenue. However, management indicated that this amount will not significantly impact Q3 financial results.
Following a 1-for-20 reverse split in May, the reduced float has amplified volatility and price movement sensitivity for the stock. The company achieved conditional Nasdaq compliance, temporarily resolving delisting concerns.
