SEC Aims to Put Tokenized Securities Directly On-Chain

The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has been working on a plan to allow tokenized securities to be recorded directly on a blockchain. This move aims to increase transparency and reduce costs associated with traditional paper-based record-keeping methods.

CoinDesk reported that the SEC's goal is to 'put' tokenized securities 'on-chain', which would enable investors to track ownership and transactions in real-time, much like Bitcoin (BTC).
