XRP Breakout Looms as Spot ETFs Surge and Golden Cross Forms
XRP has been lagging behind other major altcoins in September, but recent developments suggest that it's poised for a breakout. The token changed hands at $1.5485 on Saturday, down around 1.2% over the prior 24 hours after touching $1.62 during Friday's session.
The underlying demand picture has been strengthening across multiple fronts. Spot XRP ETFs recorded $22.6 million in net inflows on Friday, the fourth consecutive day of positive flows. The funds have added more than $117 million over that stretch, lifting cumulative inflows to approximately $1.8 billion.
The creation of 3,647 new wallets during the recent rally points to expanding participation beyond established holders. Futures markets tell a similar story, with open interest in XRP derivatives climbing to $3.6 billion, the highest reading since January.
