SEC Votes on Crypto Token Framework, Fidelity Boosts ETH Staking
The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) will vote on Friday, August 14, to propose new rules creating a dedicated offering framework for certain investment contracts involving crypto assets.
This is the SEC's first formal attempt to build a regulated path for digital asset issuances under the current administration.
If the commission votes yes, the proposal would open a public comment period before any final rule takes effect.
