Sequans Completes Bitcoin Treasury Exit, Focuses on Semiconductor Growth
Sequans Communications S.A. (SQNS) has completed its Bitcoin treasury exit after selling its remaining 314 Bitcoin holdings as of June 30, 2026. The sale marks an important milestone for the company and reflects a disciplined execution of its strategy to strengthen its financial foundation.
The Company's balance sheet is now strengthened with no outstanding debt outside of government-financed R&D projects and no cryptocurrency holdings on the balance sheet. This allows Sequans to hold a strong cash position, reflecting a simpler capital structure and clearer financial profile for investors.
With this transition complete, Sequans is focused on executing its long-term semiconductor growth strategy, which includes accelerating product revenue, expanding licensing opportunities, and next-generation technologies. The company's core semiconductor business continues to accelerate, with product revenue growing over 80% year-over-year in the second quarter of 2026.
Sequans' CEO, Dr. Georges Karam, said that 'the completion of our Bitcoin treasury strategy marks an important milestone for Sequans and reflects the disciplined execution of a strategy designed to strengthen our financial foundation.'
