Shiba Inu's Regulated Listings Fall Short for German Investors
Shiba Inu's growth has led to its listing on three regulated venues since this summer, but for German investors, accessing the cryptocurrency through a brokerage account remains limited. The European exchange-traded product (ETP) listed in Stockholm settles in Swedish kronor and is only available through Nordic brokers. Valour Shiba Inu SEK, with an ISIN of CH1108681524 and ticker 1VBS, carries a management fee of 1.9 percent per year and has around $89,847 in assets under management.
The US fund that would be allowed to hold SHIB is T. Rowe Price's TKNZ product on NYSE Arca, approved in June 2026. The fund holds between five and fifteen assets, with eight currently held, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and BNB. However, this approval does not guarantee demand or inflow of funds into the market.
In Japan, Laser Digital Japan completed its registration under the Payment Services Act in August 2026 and lists SHIB among six tradable assets. German investors interested in accessing Shiba Inu through a brokerage account are left with the option of purchasing directly on an exchange with a MiCA license, followed by custody of their own.
