Silicon Motion (SIMO) shares saw a modest decline in pre-market trading on Wednesday, after closing 6.75% higher the previous day at $268.49.

The company's stock price slipped to $262.00, a 2.42% decrease, trimming part of Tuesday's strong advance.

Silicon Motion announced the release of its Gen6 SSD controller, specifically designed for demanding AI factories.

The SM8466 controller delivers up to 28 GB/s throughput and seven million random IOPS, while new enterprise SSD platforms support capacities beyond 512TB for AI workloads.
