Singapore Crypto Activity Surges Amid Regional Decline
Singapore's cryptocurrency activity saw significant growth in the year ended June 2026, rising by 55.4% to $284 billion.
This marks a resurgence for Singapore as the largest crypto economy in Central and Southeast Asia and Oceania (CSAO), bucking the regional trend of a 6.8% contraction over the same period.
The growth can be attributed largely to institutional platform activity, which surged by 94% to $60 billion, mainly driven by high-volume activity from market makers, over-the-counter trading firms, and institutional brokerages.
